About Pattaya Restaurant

Thai Restaurant

Pattaya Restaurant is a thai restaurant in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is listed at 4040 Locust St, Philadelphia, PA 19104, which places it among the local businesses of Philadelphia that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Philadelphia is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Philadelphia is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

i got the tofu yellow curry and tom kha. it was delicious! most places undercook the vegetables when i order curry, but here it was cooked to perfection, with plenty of curry paste/flavor. it's also more reasonably priced than most thai places in the city. will definitely be back! my new favorite thai spot.

My elderly mother used my account to order. She typed a request in Thai not being aware the restaurant wouldn’t be able to understand. I don’t appreciate being told β€œEnglish please!!!!!” on the receipt. If you don’t understood, you easily could have called, write something like β€œSorry we can’t understand”, or just don’t write anything at all. It’s that simple. Your service is questionable at best.

Ordered delivery of mild chicken pad thai and fried bananas for dessert. Ordering mild pad thai was a mistake on my part because it’s devoid of flavor. Ratio of chicken to tofu seemed heavy tofu. Banana dessert was okβ€”didn’t rock my world.

The spot is a little on the smaller side but the food was good. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. They have a very large vegetarian selection. The waitress was very short and had zero patience but other than that everything was good. Would definitely order take out or dine in again. I would recommend making a reservation if you are dining in.

Got the pineapple fried rice and it was really delicious, would have liked it a bit more if there was some additional pineapple as I only had a couple pieces. The presentation looked great though, rice was cooked well, veggies were nice and fresh. Nice view of the kitchen and easy atmosphere to dine casually in. Service was great, always very attentive to anything and prompt. The servers were all very great! Would come back again if I was in the area of close to the hospital again in the future.
